Hornsea
Hornsea has a historic town centre with houses that date back to the 15th Century. As a seaside town, it boasts a mile of promenade with a great beach and to the south of the promenade are plenty of shops, amusement arcades and fish and chip restaurants.In the town, amid the busy streets lies a converted farmhouse, hosting the folk museum showing lives of the town folk from over 100 years ago. As well as the potteries, Hornsea is also famous for the Mere, the largest freshwater lake in Yorkshire which spans across some 400-500 acres, formed at the end of the Ice Age 16-18,000 years ago. It is a great nature reserve for many birds as it is so close to the sea. Hornsea Freeport offers up to 50% off designer clothing and accessories and there are lots of shops and leisure activities to keep the children happy and entertained. The local leisure centre has a full sized swimming pool, squash courts, sauna and steam rooms. Bus services run to the centre and free car parking is available.
There are several caravan sites in the area of Hornsea and a couple of smaller supermarkets selling supplies for self-caterers. Caravan services are available to serve the area of Hornsea if you’re in need of a hand with anything from repairs, to gas and electric testing. Located 12 miles east of Beverley and 16 miles north of Hull.
